CAF Champions League debutants, MFM FC have snapped up young winger Wilfred Ammeh from Niger Tornadoes on undisclosed terms, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The management of the Olukoya Boys stole off the march of Enugu Rangers, Abia Warriors and Kastina United to sign the talented lad.
The deal was signed on Monday afternoon at the club secretariat.
Di Maria as he is fondly known by Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) followers can operate on both flanks.
“I feel blessed to be here” he said. “I’m a young player walking into a good club. Not all players like me have had such a chance. I’m happy about it. I hope to make the most out of it,” Di Maria told Futbalgalore.com.
The former TEAP FC dazzler revealed why he decided to pitch tent with the Lagos based side.
“MFM’s vision aligns with mine. My decision in joining this club was because I wanted to ply my trade where my game will be appreciated and where the coach (Fidelis Ilechukwu) so much believe in me.”
“I turned down many offers to be a part of this great project at MFM and the lure of featuring in the CAF Champions League was too enticing to ignore,” he added.
