Goals from Ever Banega and Sergio Aguerro have given Argentina a 2-1 lead over Nigeria in their friendly clash this evening.
The South Americans created the game’s first opportunity when the Nigerian defence fizzed in a cross to the near post, which Aguerro headed straight into the hands of the goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi who had a poor game.
The 1986 World champions surprisingly went ahead in the 34th minute when Akpeyi failed to deal with Banega’s free kick.
Aguerro then put the icing on the cake with his own strike minutes after.
However, Nigeria responded as Kelechi Iheanacho netted a sumptuous free kick.
