The English national team will play Nigeria on June 2 in Wembley, to prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
As reported by Futbalgalore.com last month, the game at Wembley Stadium will serve as a tune-up ahead of group-stage games of the Three Lions and Super Eagles in Russia.
Nigeria, 51th in FIFA’s most recent world ranking, and the No. 15 England have met once at the World Cup, with the Group game between the two teams at the 2002 Japan/Korea World Cup ending 0-0.
In a colourful friendly match at Wembley Stadium in 1994, the Three Lions pipped the Eagles 1-0 thanks to David Platt’s well planted header beyond Peter Rufai.
Eagles Manager Gernot Rohr is expected to look at his players in the warm up game as he decides on his final squad for the World Cup.
