Hawks FC of Gambia Striker, Alfusainey Gassama, scorer of the Banjul club’s equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Steve Biko FC in the Gambian league match on Tuesday, said his team is capable of winning in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary first leg tie against Akwa United on Sunday.
The striker, while speaking to the press after the team’s final training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday evening, went further to set a personal target of netting a hattrick.
“Definitely we have the confidence to win and we are motivated as a team.
“Football is a team and not an in individual game.
“Lamine Chatty, who assisted me in the last game against Steve Biko FC, Mass Manga and Bakary Sambou also brings their experience to the team as National Team players.
“I scored in our last game against Steve Biko FC and I hope to score a hattrick tomorrow (Sunday),” he said.
